Cyber Innovations Ltd. was founded in 2024 to address a critical gap: traditional cybersecurity training often overlooks the human experience of cyber incidents.<\/p>

Emerging from research conducted at Bournemouth University and shaped by the expertise of the BU-CERT<\/strong> (Bournemouth University Cyber Security Research Group), our team set out to create interventions that are not only technically sound, but psychologically informed. We believe that true cyber resilience means understanding how people think, feel, and behave under digital threat<\/strong> \u2014 and designing support accordingly.<\/p>

Our work is underpinned by the\u00a0Human Layer Kill Chain<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 a new model developed through our research collaboration, which maps how human behaviours and stress responses are exploited throughout a cyberattack. This framework allows us to create training and response tools that are not only preventative, but trauma-aware, and recovery-focused.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Our first innovation, CyGamBIT<\/strong>, transformed cybersecurity learning into a competitive, scenario-based game. Developed with support from CyberASAP<\/strong> and showcased by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, it brought game-based learning to life for schools and organisations alike.<\/p>

But it was through deeper engagement with frontline teams that we saw the need for something more: a structured, psychologically grounded approach to cyber incident response.\u00a0Cyber First Aid<\/a>\u00a0was born \u2014 a flagship programme designed to equip non-technical staff with practical skills, emotional resilience, and organisational readiness.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
